P77 awarded Nordic Swan Eco Label
The beautiful P77 armchair, designed by the furniture designer and architect Jonas Lindvall, has qualified to carry the Nordic Swan Eco Label. This means that the chair has fulfilled the stringent criteria stipulated by the Nordic Ecolabelling Board. Among other things, the environmental impact of the product throughout its whole lifecycle, from raw materials to waste, was assessed. The P77 is wholly recyclable and the different plastic materials that make up the chair do not even have to be sorted separately.
Lucy - Ingenious locking mechanism an innovative solution
Johanson Design AB will be exhibiting their new and elegantly styled folding table ‘Lucy’ for the first time at the Stockholm Furniture Fair on 5 ‒ 9 February. The table has been designed by Alexander Lervik, who has collaborated with Johanson Design for many years.
“Folding tables are often rather plain. Lucy, on the other hand, has a smart design and is very attractive when set up,” says Alexander Lervik.

Dresscode - A really comfortable chair for long sittings
Johanson Design will be exhibiting their new and welcoming chair ‘Dresscode’ at the Stockholm Furniture Fair on 5 - 9 February. Although ideas for this chair have been around for quite some time, the actual design work was carried out in 2012. The chair is now ready to make its first public appearance.
“Guiding principles during the creative process have addressed the issue of long sittings, and the resulting ergonomic design and new exciting contours have created a visually inspiring chair,” says Johan Lindstén.

Johanson Design's P77 nominated for the 2012 Design S.
The Swedish national design award Design S reward every two years the best examples of Swedish design. Among the nearly 220 reported contributions have 35 nominated by a renowned jury led by James Lind, CEO communications and design agency Futurniture.
Of the nominees, a number that is rewarded with a Design S at the awards ceremony on November 21 at Fotografiska in Stockholm. Trade Ewa Björling will hand out the award in the Design Day filled with workshops and lectures about design.

Our stand at 100% Design is full of our latest creations. Johan Lindstén’s Stealth is a genuinely comfortable armchair and its distinctly angled surfaces give it a really exciting look. Thanks to its generous dimensions and high level of comfort Jonas Lindvall’s P77 armchair has received enormous acclaim. Alexander Lervik’s Eye is a striking fusion of chair and pouffe, and his Reform sofa system offers a multitude of set-up combinations.

New base for Arena, Bella and Cape.
We are now ontroducing a new base for some of our models. The base is available in chrome, satin, black and ral and with 3 different types of wheel. There is chromed wheels as options, as well as black and lockable wheels.

Johanson Design has taken a step into the racing world. Today, the STCC is one of the biggest racing event in Sweden. The drivers Rickard Rydell with titles in the sport and Michel Nykjær are running this year's Chevrolet Cars that Johanson has chosen to sponsor. The team's VIP lounge, adorned with tables and chairs from Johanson Design throughout the season 2012. Models, fabrics and details are designed specifically to fit the team's image. During the year, Johanson offer a variety of VIP evenings to follow Rickard and Chevrolet in the race for this year's victory in the STCC!
